First Award of Diploma in Dental Therapy

At a ceremony held in Senate House in July the first Diplomas in Dental Therapy were awarded to the first successful candidates by the President of the General Dental Council, Dr Margaret Seward, MBE. The ceremony, which was attended by the Vice-Chancellor and the Dean of the Dental School, Profes sor John Scott, marked the culmination of a two-year part-time course which began in October 1996.
