Deaths

The University regrets to announce the death of the following:Dr Sheila Marriner, Reader in the Department of Economic and Social History from 1948 until her retirement in 1983, and Honorary Senior Fellow in the department since 1993.

Professor David John Thistlewood, Prof. in the Department of Architecture and Building Engineering, and a member of staff since 1974.

Emeritus Professor John Edward Utting, a member of staff from 1970 until his retirement from th Chair of Anaesthesia in the Department of Anaesthesia in 1993. Emeritus Professor Utting was also a Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the University from 1997 to 1990.
