Invitation to musicians. Are you interested in singing or playing for pleasure?
The Renaissance Music Group conducted by Dr Morris Davies, rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm in the University of Liverpool's Department of Music. The group has a membership of about 25 singers and specialises in unaccompanied Renaissance works. It is one of the longest established amateur early music choirs in the country and enjoys a well-earned good reputation especially in the Northwest.
The Liverpool String Orchestra conducted by David Wiggins, meets near the City Centre on Monday evenings.
The South Liverpool Rehearsal Orchestra plays on Tuesday evenings in the Music Salon of Liverpool Hope University College, L16 and is conducted by Dr Ian Sharp, free supervised car parking - or possibility a lift with another orchestral member, (free membership for full time students of any institution).
