Thousands of students from Merseyside and the North West visited the Liverpool Graduate Careers Fair held in St Georges Hall.
The Liverpool Graduate Careers Fair is the largest careers fair in the North West and more than 60 employers had exhibition space. The careers fair is a collaboration between the three higher education institutions in Liverpool - Liverpool Hope University College, Liverpool John Moores University a nd The University of Liverpool - working under the umbrella of Graduates for Merseyside. Exhibitors included local, national and international companies who want to recruit the brightest students before they graduate in 1998.
Dr Anne Merry, Director of Careers and Academic Practice said: 'This is the largest careers fair ever held in Liverpool and it is a wonderful opportunity for students and recent graduates to meet prospective employers. It is of particular interest to final year students graduating next summer but i t is also an opportunity for students who are not yet in their final year to find out what employers are looking for,' she said.
