Evans, Ellams and Beeston Memorial Prizes

The following prizes were awarded at a ceremony held on 1 July:

Evans Memorial Prizes (awarded to mature undergraduate students and to members of the administrative, clerical and secretarial staff to further their education or career development), Ms M (Elizabeth) A Clegg, Department of German, Miss Amanda Platt, Faculty of Law and Mrs Karen Fagan (nee Gibson), Department of Orthoptics.

David Ellams Prize (awarded in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the life and work of the University), Mr R Gettel, Painting Inspector, Buildings and Estates.

Beeston Prize (awarded for having excelled in research at postdoctoral level), Dr Darren Lee, postgraduate student (formerly of Department of Chemistry)
