Presentation of University scholarships

Eleven new students recently received scholarship awards from the University at a presentation ceremony and buffet lunch held in their honour. The students - ten undergraduates and one postgraduate - were invited to receive certificates marking the award of their University of Liverpool Scholarships for International Students. The awards are made annually to new students on the basis of academic merit and are tenable for up to three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The awards are valued at £ 1,000 per year for undergraduate students and £ 1,500 per year for postgraduate students.

In presenting the certificates, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Tarn indicated how pleased he was to see such a wide range of academic disciplines and nationalities represented, in that the awards were made in seven different disciplines and to students of six different nationalities.
