Jack Dunne, Lecturer and head of degree year in Architecture and Building Engineering was recently invited by a team of architects, urban designers and students to provide a masterplan for a new college campus at the Little Bighorn Reservation in Montana.
The project, part of an 'envisioning process' instigated by the University of Montana, involved a limited competition of four teams providing a variety of different masterplan designs.
The community voted the design proposed by Jack's team the winner and funding is now being sought to begin the first phase. The work is to be published in a book documenting the whole process.
Jack Dunne has worked with communities on similar projects in Mexico City, Seattle, Houston and Indianapolis.
He is also tutor of the prize winning Architecture student, Peggy Chan, who won the First Prize Sergeant Award for Drawing of the RIBA and was runner-up for the RIBA President's Medal (International). Mirko Cattelan was commended for the Presidents Medal and also won First Prize in the Dublin Centr e for the performing Arts International 'Interact' Competition.
