Lisa Hixson, a student in the Faculty of Medicine, received a warm welcome from her bank manager recently when she deposited £16,000 into her account.
Lisa (right) won the money when she took part in ITV's quiz programme 'Who Wants To Be A Millionaire' and successfully answered nine questions before opting to stop.
'Only a week before,' said Lisa, 'I'd phoned to try and up my overdraft limit'.
A final-year Occupational Therapy student, Lisa is resisting the temptation to have a celebratory spree:'I think I'll leave the money in the bank for a while and sort out my debts. I can't believe how sensible I'm being,'she said.
