The Centre offers a programme of accredited evening and daytime weekly courses, linked days and residential courses, held in Liverpool and at other local centres. There are concessionary fees for full-time students and for University staff. The following Liverpool courses start soon. Have you ever tried or wanted to try aerobics or step, or been put off because everyone knows the moves? The Sports Centre is running a NEW course after Christmas for total beginners. Pre-Sessional English for Academic Purposes Courses.
The Applied English Language Studies Unit is now offering full-time Fast Track pre-Sessional EAP courses to intending postgraduates during term time. These courses aim to be flexible to departmental and student need. They involve small groups of students and classes are highly individualised and interactive. The next course will run from 25th January to 1st April. Late entry is possible if applicants fulfil certain conditions. Places can now be booked on our ten-week and six-week intensive full time pre-sessional summer courses. The dates for these are: 5th July 9th September and 2nd August-9th September 1999. Admission tutors are strongly advised to recommend attendance on the ten-week course if the applicant's language qualifications are weak.

The University Symphony Orchestra is to give a concert on March 23.
For the members of the orchestra it is rewarding to be able to present the result of the terms work more than once.
