
Sarah Jones is the newly appointed Student Welfare Adviser, joining the Welfare and Advisory Services team based in the Student Services Centre.
Sarah works with disabled students to provide support, secure funding, and advise prospective disabled students and academic departments about appropriate facilities. She arranges assessments for students who may be dyslexic and the provision of specialised equipment for disabled students. Sarah also has a general welfare role and is available to give help and support to students who are experiencing personal problems, or who are ill or suffering from trauma. The University's Welfare and Advisory Services offer professional and comprehensive advice, help and support to students. The staff have expertise on a wide range of practical issues affecting students, student finance (including administration of Student Loans and Access Funds), students with disabilities, International Students welfare, childcare and general welfare matters.
