The University has signed an agreement with a new College in Lahore, Pakistan. The Premier College of Business Administration and Economics offers interdisciplinary business skills and specific functional expertise to managers, to equip them to work across management disciplines, to assume responsi bility and to welcome innovation. As part of the College's provision, it is creating a number of pathways to MBA/MPA study in a small number of universities in the UK, Australia, Canada and the United States. This University has agreed to accept up to 30 suitably qualified MBA/MPA students annually from the College, commencing in September 1998. A similar arrangement, also for MBA study, has been negotiated with a Chinese Government agency based in Shanghai, for a further cohort of students from September 1998.
Professor Morton Davies, Director of the Liverpool Institute of Public Administration and Management (LIPAM), visited Lahore recently and inaugurated the new 'Liverpool Lecture Theatre'.
