A Map for Moira

To mark National Carers Week, the Glaxo Neurological Centre is hosting an Exhibition of the work of David Lindsay-Coggins. David is a recently retired Blackburn teacher and graduate of the Liverpool College of Art. Five years ago, his wife Moira, also a teacher and talented linguist, developed Alzheimer's disease at the early age of fifty.

To try to come to an understanding of his wife's and his own predicament, David began first to write poetry and this in turn inspired a series of vivid abstract paintings, 'A Map for Moira'.
