In 1990 the NHS and the Kings Fund invited bids from regions
throughout the UK to provide
developement workers for their region. Wirral was successful
and a Developement Officer was appointed.
A USER GROUP was established in conjunction with professional
support from Health Authority, Social Services and Housing
departments.
Living Options Wirral aims to establish a partnership based on
an equality of roles and values
including accountability, access to information and training.
Services should respond to the needs of people with disabilities
through genuine user paricipation in
service planning and provision.
Living Options Wirral serves people with physical disabilities
aged 16-65 years who are permanent residents living in
Wirral.
