THE BITE
The bite or occlusion is one of the most important aspects of dentistry and can have a large bearing on general head, neck, jaw and back pain. Particular attention is paid to the 'occlusion' in general and especially when any treatment is carried out.

VENEERS
As a direct result of space technology, thin ceramic veneers can be be fabricated with little tooth preparation. These can be applied to counteract the effect of aging discolourating, chips, twists and gaps.

PORCELAIN INLAYS
When a large metal filling in a back tooth breaks, or needs replacing, rather than crowning, which removes even more good tooth, it is often possible to fuse into the tooth a specially made porcelain, or composite inlay. This not only looks good like an unfilled tooth again, but bonds to the thin walls of tooth improving strength considerably.

WHITE COMPOSITE FILLINGS
For small back fillings, these exciting and cosmetically very acceptable alternatives to traditional silver amalgam fillings provide the opportunity of having mercury free, tooth coloured fillings.

Now of proven quality and durability over a ten year period of development they can be much less destructive to tooth tissue, and, with meticulous technique have been shown to actually increase the strength of the restored tooth.

    FULL MOUTH RECONSTRUCTION
Full mouth reconstruction is undertaken on a regular basis, with very particular attention being paid to the way the jaws 'articulate' or function comfortably together following treatment.

    BRIDGES
When a tooth or teeth are lost, they can be replaced either with a denture or a bridge can be constructed.

A bridge is a permanent replacement for the missing tooth, which looks and feels just like a normal row of teeth.

There are several different types of bridge. Conventional bridges utilise crowns on the existing teeth at each end of the gap with an additional tooth held in place between them.

Adhesive bridges use the latest bonding techniques and involve very little reduction of the supporting teeth to permanently hold a new tooth in the gap.

These bridges are manufactured using gold and bonding alloys fused to porcelain, by carefully selected top quality laboratories.

IMPLANTS
Implants are proving a reliable way to replace some missing teeth. To this end we work together with a specialist implant surgeon to achieve the best possible result.
