The Indo-British Association was established to promote better understanding between the peoples of Britain and India.

Historically our two nations have been closely involved with one another- politically, commercially, culturally. But many of the old ties are gone or are rapidly disappearing; there is a need for a new relationship. Hence this association: non-political, non-profit making, non-governmental.

Its purpose is to build up a people to people partnership, based on realism and mutual respect.

The Indo British Association seeks to deepen and widen understanding in all fields of human contact.

Industry and Commerce

The Association's Economic Committee brings together representatives from the private and public sectors in Britain and India. It will help to provide businessmen from each country with up to date information and contact with each other.

Seminars on specific projects will be held at regular intervals. The Association will help to provide openings for exporters, consultants and finance houses to meet one another in London or New Delhi.

Education and Culture

The Association maintains close contacts with schools, universities and individual writers and artists in Britain and India, in order to provide a stimulating programme for members. These include exchange visits, concerts, lectures, films and exhibitions, as well as social events to meet well known personalities.
