The Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts

The College of Art was built in 1882 however the refubishment and exstension in 1910 is probably the most interesting part of this building.

The refubishment was done in a Neo-Grec style this was a main characteristisc of early 20th century architecture in Liverpool which seemed to tie it in more closly to Glasgow or the United States rather than the rest of England.

Liverpool College of Art ( Andrew Taylor).

Professor Charles Reilly of the Liverpool School of Architecture was the main influence in the design of the building and work is so consistent that it seems more than probable he had a hand in its overall creation.
It now forms a part of the Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts LIPA
