This month we have made big changes in the roleplay area and have set up a Library which we have called the Mad About Books Library. The children are enjoying sorting books into fiction and non-fiction categories, and are also spending some quiet time reading.

The children are also busy cataloguing books both by hand and using a database on the computer which can then list the books by author and separate books into fiction and non-fiction categories.

The children can either come to the library with their specially made Library Cards to borrow books or can play librarian and stamp books in and out (a very popular activity, so much so that we have extra paper for those who want to date stamp everything in sight!)
