Yo ho ho, me hearties! This half term we have taken to the high seas aboard the Jolly Roger, on the hunt for buried treasure.

We have already begun our craft activites making pirate hats and are looking forward to making treasure maps and treasure chests.

Writing activites are great fun with this theme. We shall be writing a Captain's Log, describing all sorts of pirate adventures - we shall be discovering strange islands, getting into dangerous scrapes and discovering new species of animals and fish. This is a great theme for letting our imaginations run wild!

We also have included some pirate memory games and board games and some pirate stories to read in quieter moments.
