This month in the role play area we are focussing on Hallowe'en. The children are making conconctions of spider, newt, toad and snake soup, dressing up as witches, wizards, pumpkins and skeletons and reading scary stories!

This theme will link with various writing activities including writing instructions for a witch's house, and writing some acrostic poetry on topics such as witches, wizards, skeletons etc. as well as including some poetry about bonfire night. We will also be using a quote from Shakespeare's Macbeth in our Rhyme of the week, Double, double, toil and trouble . . .

We will also be making witches and wizard hats in our craft work.
