Our Role Play this month is:

Fairy Tales

Story telling is a very important part of learning for young children. This month we will focus on fairy tales, Kings and Queens and castles.

The children will be reading fairy tales by themselves using the Ladybird Read it Yourself books and listening to more complicated versions of the same stories. We will be dressing up and acting out stories in the role play area.

We will be using this role play to inspire the children to make up their own stories, practise writing them down, and will include some associated craft activites such as 3D castles, Prince and Princess puppets and Rapunzel’s Tower.
