This month we have set up a shoe shop in the role play area. We have a fine selection of shoes in many sizes for all occassions, school shoes, party shoes, trainers, sandals for boys and girls.

There will of course be opportunities to practise our writing skills, starting with writing adverts for the shoe shop, and we will include some linked craft activities, making and lacing shoes, practising tying bows and making a large scale foot size graph.

The children will be practising their money skills while operating the till and enjoying selecting shoes from the latest fashions.

PREVIOUS ROLE PLAY

We will be measuring each other's feet and finding shoes to fit. We will also be producing graphs of our shoe sizes, both by hand and on computers, and comparing them with graphs of our heights.
