Heswall Prep Balloon reaches Dorset!

At Sport’s Day in June, Heswall Prep took part in the balloon race run by the Wirral Rotary Club. Children bought helium balloons which were labelled and let off from a huge net. There is a prize for the child whose balloon travels the furthest.

This year one of our balloons reached Poole in Dorset which qualified as one of the top 10 balloon distances. The furthest ballon of all this year ended up in Poland so we were some way off the winning balloon!

The Wirral Rotary Club supports a number of Charities including the ‘Wirral Life Education Centre’ which helps to educate children in Wirral in making healthy choices for their lives and ‘The Mango Tree’ which helps in the care of AIDS orphans in Tanzania. We offer our thanks to Mr Highnet for organising our balloon race and for coming to visit Heswall Prep to announce the winner and to everyone who bought balloons for their continued support.
