Success for Heswall Prep staff member at the Marlow music festival
Heswall Prep Parent returns from Sierra Leone in West Africa
We were pleased to welcome Mr Phipps, one of our parents, today at Heswall Prep who came to tell us about his trip to Sierra Leone.
Mr Phipps is helping with funding and construction of a new school in a village called Bo through the charity OAKS (Overseas Aid for Kids of Sierra Leone). Mr Phipps explained to us the work going on in construction of the school and gave us all a very interesting insight into life in a very different place to Heswall.
We saw many interesting photos of the village and people, two of the children tried on some typical West African dress and we played some African style music.
Heswall Prep has supported the charity OAKS in the past and hope to arrange more fund raising for them in the future, especially as we now understand more about the projects that they support. For more details of this charity, click on the OAKS logo.
