Learning to Save a life at Heswall Prep
This week was Red Cross Week. We held a non-uniform day at School and wore red for the occasion. Thank you all for your kind contributions, we collected £50 for this very worthwhile charity.
Some volunteers from the Red Cross came to tell us about the work of the Red Cross both in this country and overseas. To find out more about the Red Cross, click on this link.
We then watched a demonstration of how to respond to the needs of unconscious casualties. This included placing an unconscious person in the recovery position, opening the airway and performing CPR.
Some of the children then had a go at CPR on the resuscitation manikin. We would like to offer our thanks to the two Red Cross volunteers for coming to share their life saving skills.
