Google Doodle Success |

This year some of our children entered the The ‘Doodle 4 Google - My Britain’ competition. This competition is open to all schools in the UK and asks young people to design a doodle that represents what it means to be British today. The winning doodle is displayed on the Google UK homepage for a day, and is seen by around 18 million people. |

We were very pleased to hear that Molly was selected as one of the 10 North West regional finalists for her age group. She won a selection of Google goodies and was invited to view her mounted design in a display in London. Molly explained her design by saying, |

“I have drawn pawprints on the ‘G’ to represent the animals of Britain, the tennis balls for the ‘o’s’ because Wimbledon is a British tradition. I have chosen a maypole for the ‘L’ because Morris Dancing is a traditional dance in Britain and the daisies hanging from the ‘E’ to represent nature. Finally, the people’s faces in the ‘G’ represent the people in Britain.” |
