STAMPS WINE BAR AND BISTRO
Junction of Liverpool Road and Islington, Crosby

typical clientele

Stamps occupies the site of the old Crosby Post Office at the Liverpool Road/Islington junction. It is a small bar which serves meals during the day and tapas in the evening.
When it first opened Stamps struggled to get credibility with younger customers more used to the pub/disco format, but it has now built up a sizeable and loyal client base.

During the day friendly staff serve tea and coffee as well as good food, and the bar has become a popular place to watch the world go by.

In its most notable event to date, Stamps hit the news when Liverpool FC players Neil Ruddock and Jason McAteer were asked to leave after being allegedly abusive to staff. The incident brought Stamps a lot of publicity but whether the management wanted the bistro described as "a trendy nightspot" in the intellectually challenged Daily Star is open to question.

Stamps has recently won a prestigious national awasrd recognising the quality of its "live entertainment".
