This photo shows the National Westminster Bank which was developed
on the site of the old Crosby police station in the 1970's.
On the right is Sainsbury's which was developed around the
same time, and is the largest supermarket in the town. Crosby's
modern police station is situated on Crosby Road South near
the Five Lamps.
This photo shows, on the
left, St Mary's Old Boys, formerly Riley's ballroom, which
occupies the upper part of this row of shops. Next to St Marys
is a branch of Satterthwaites, the local bakers who have been
going strong for about 75 years. Blues Cafe Bar opened in
the last 5 years replacing Finishing Touch and before that
a pharmacy.

This photo is of the Crosby Comrades
Club on Liverpool Road. This was the venue of the St Luke's
dances, and still is a thriving social club. On the left of
the club is a gym and fitness centre owned by St Mary's school.
This was previously a Mecca Bingo Hall and before that the
Regent cinema.
