TUC Learning Services North West is actively involved in helping trade unions and employers work in partnership to improve employees' access to workplace learning and development and, in turn, enhance the competitiveness of organisations and the employability of individuals.

The TUC believes that working in partnership to increase the skills and knowledge base of North West employees is key to sustained economic development and improved competitiveness within the Region.

TUC Learning Services North West has around 15 project workers in the North West who can offer assistance to affiliate unions, and through them to employers. We are involved in a number of lifelong learning initiatives, including Investors in People, NVQs, Employee Development Schemes, Individual Learning Accounts, Collective Learning Funds and Basic Skills and Key Skills Training.
