Many people say they had no idea so much was available in volunteering. The Volunteer Bureau is a central information point for advice, details and help in volunteering.

At Bebington Volunteer Bureau, we offer:

• One to One confidential advice (in person, by phone or email) about why you would like to volunteer, what you could do and any practical considerations.
• Referral system, where we put the organisations you want to volunteer with in touch with you
• Over 250 organisations on 'V-Base', our searchable database. This is also available on line at www.do-it.org.uk
• A series of information sheets detailing different types of voluntary work available.
• 'Guide to Volunteering in Wirral', handbook, with advice and information.
• Access to the Volunteering Award Schemes

Many organisations take up references and certain opportunities require criminal records checks. We can take up references, but it is for organisations to check criminal records where necessary.
