Befriending/Sitting Service

Support for Housebound People and their Carers

How the Service can Help

The aim of the project is to provide friendly support for vulnerable people living alone and/or carers who may need a short break.

The service is free of charge and available to people over the age of 18 years living in Eastham, Bromborough, Brimstage, Bebington, Port Sunlight, New Ferry and Prenton.

The service operates from 9am - 9pm in sessions of 1-3 hours with some weekend provision by special arrangement. There is opportunity for people to be taken out for short drives.

All services will depend on the availability of suitable staff members / volunteers.

The Befriending Service is funded by joint finance monies from Social Services and Wirral Health Authority. We adhere to their strict guidelines and receive regular monitoring.
